“Look Up”

God moved in an amazing way at SWBC2016.  In this sermon the week after SWBC, Pastor Blake explains that it is by keeping our eyes up that we continue to hear the Lord like never before, worship like never before, surrender like never before, minster like never before and cause ourselves and others to make life changing decisions.

Colossians  3:23-24

(NKJV) And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

(AMP) Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah).

There has been a false belief in the Body of Christ that if you are not called into what is called the “5-fold ministry;” Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors, Teachers, then you cannot be used by the Kingdom of God.  That belief is not true.  If you read the scriptures and really study it (Ephesians 4:11-16), you will find that those who are called to the 5-fold ministry actually serve the rest of The Body of Christ.  Our gifts are given to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, not the other way around!  Every person has been given a calling, and it may not be one of the 5.  There are many callings; way too many to name.  However, God only has one standard. That standard is EXCELLENCE.  Excellence is not determined by man’s evaluation; judging the product, but by God’s evaluation; judging the heart.  When something is done with excellence, it is evident in both the natural and the super-natural.  Half-hearted effort is always apparent.  You can tell when someone does something without giving it their best. However, when a person works as if they are working for Jesus and gives it their all, the fruit that they bear will always be excellent.  #WHATEVER

This is my 14forty

This is my 14forty (Read by Keely Sturm on December 31, 2014)

There are fourteen hundred and forty minutes in each day.  Each one is significant, because you can’t get it back.  In 14forty, we pursue an uncommon faith.  Worldly logic says “you only live once”.  I don’t know about you, but to me, that is shallow.  Every minute of every day of our life has the potential to impact eternity.  While there are those waisting their time… “only living once”… There are those of us who are willing and equipped to put the full force of our faith into every minute of every day.  We have answered the higher calling, not to live for ourselves, but to live for the glory… The glory of God.  Our time is NOW, and you have a decision to make!  The Word of God gives us a choice: life… or death… you choose!  I choose life, and that requires my faith.  What choice will you make?  I am done standing idly by while my generation is being deceived by darkness; is being fed a false identity; is being ravaged by suicide and self-harm; is being silenced by depression and self-doubt.  That is not who we are, and it certainly is not who I am.

I am the righteousness of God

I am part of a chosen generation

I am an overcomer.

I know the truth and I am free!  The earth has been waiting for me!  This is my time!  I am going to rise up, take my place and step into my destiny; and so is my youth group.

This is my Generation

This is my responsibility
